Pixie’s End of Year Round Up!

Like many of us, I really cannot believe where 2017 has gone?! My first full year back after being in America altogether for 14 months and what an incredible year its turned out to be.

All of those wonderful couples who booked me for their weddings are now settling nicely into married life and everything is gearing up for the busy year that lies ahead.  As I sit here and reflect on the past year and all of the lovely couples that I got to meet, I feel both humbled and blessed that I was chosen to share their special day with them, (35 precious days in-fact) and had the pleasure in capturing their big days across the globe at the most amazing venues in America, Italy, Berlin, Costa Rica, Spain and Ireland, as well as locations in the UK and the Cotswolds.

Nothing excites me more than when wedding season approaches. For me, it’s not only the wonder that lies ahead, but with the thrill and enjoyment that each year brings as I push and challenge myself further to capture even more special moments.

This year in particular has been extremely rewarding, not only have I made new friends and captured thousands of memories, but I’ve won an award! I was awarded ‘Best Wedding Photographer in the Cotswolds 2017’. This is a huge achievement for me, being recognised and acknowledged at this level is phenomenal – let alone winning. The immense talent that I was alongside was overwhelming and I am truly honoured and absolutely thrilled to have won.

Thank you to everyone who made my year beautiful, full of smiles, love and laughter. Thank you to my family and friends for your continued support. I especially want to thank Colin, Chloe and Hannah for assisting me with my weddings and for all your positivity. I am extremely grateful for your backing, encouragement and words of wisdom.

A special thank you to all the wonderful brides and grooms, lovely couples and families who I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this year, as well as your incredible feedback and appreciation for your photos.

Next year is already looking exciting with weddings to capture in Salt Lake City, Italy, Spain and lots of destinations around the UK.

Choosing images from all the fabulous weddings I was a part of this year was super difficult. I will leave you with some of my favourites from 2017 anyway…

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
